If I were the authority, I would put at least two more zeros to this sign:

With the average household income in Bangkok registering close to 50,000 THB  a month (or 48,951 THB to be exact according to National Statistic Office of Thailand), I am sure that apart from those who live on the streets with not even a penny to their names, the average Bangkokians could easily afford a 200 baht fine at any time of the day.

200 THB is really hardly a deterrent for jaywalking. That being said, I can only hope that it starts with someone in authority to really impose that fine and issue a formal receipt already.
