1 Way to Help You Meet New Readers: Meet and Greet

imagesWhat day is it??!!  HUMP DAY!!  No, that is completely wrong…it’s Meet and Greet Day!

Ok so here are the rules:

  1. Leave a link to your page or post in the comments of this post.
  2. Reblog this post.  It helps you, it helps me, it helps everyone!  So don’t be selfish, hit the reblog button.
  3. Edit your reblog post and add tags (i.e. reblogging, reblog, meet n greet, link party, etc.), it helps, trust me on this one.
  4. Share this post on social media.  Many of my non-blogger friends love that I put the Meet n Greet on Facebook and Twitter because they find new bloggers to follow.  This helps also, trust me.
  5. And if you leave a link and don’t follow me, how about ya show ole Danny some love?

Now that all the rules have been clearly explained get out there and meet n greet your butts off!

The Reblog post will publish at 7:00am est

The Social media link will publish at 8:00 am est.

See ya Monday!

Danny

I Want to Help You Grow Your Blog!

Think and dream big words written on chalkboard

Okay, leave me a link in the comments and I will reblog today through Sunday.  One link per post and please, nothing off-color, racist or generally mean.  Some language is okay, but excessive eff bombs will not be reblogged on my page.

Other than that leave as many links as you would like, but remember to return the favor and reblog this link.

Sunday Humour: Have You Pooped?

Category: Entertainment
Rottenecards_3483015_8748f73dqn

This is so hilarious! I haven’t asked that to strangers yet, but I have been close to asking random acquaintances and colleagues whenever they told me they have a stomachache. Instead I usually ask if they thought they had eaten something that was off…only because asking random strangers and acquaintance THAT would be too weird.

With my kids however, I ask them if they have pooped even when they don’t complain of a stomachache. They would, usually, without any shame, tell me the number of times they have pooped. Or how big their poop was, and the shape and sizes that came with it. When they do complain of having a tummy ache, I’ll ask if they need to go poop at that time. It’s just how we roll. It’s kind of fun.

Wishing you have a wonderful, satisfying poop and a stomachache-free week. Happy mommying!

Grubbs ‘n Critters Interview Featured on Eat, Play, Clove!

Category: Blogging

I’ve fluttered along to the moon this week with an interview that has been featured by Gen, author of Eat, Play, Clove. How can I not be when she has very generously labelled me as the “incredibly talented, multi tasking author of Grubbs ‘n Critters”!  Wow. That’s insanely humbling. Those are big words by my standards, and I really love how Gen has crafted the interview.

Now that I’m back to earth for a good several days after fluttering to the moon (and back, and to the moon again several times over and back!), I thought I’d share the questions where I discussed my culinary inspirations, how to balance a hectic life (not! and I so suck at it!) and still find time for blogging, its ups and downs, and how to plan posts.

Besides, we agreed to interview each other as a celebration for our 6th month anniversary Mystery Munchies Edition, and, it would just be a crime not to!

  • What inspired you to start your blog? I had the perfect excuse – it was out of necessity!
  • When did you start cooking and why? Was it from necessity, ie you had to feed the kids, or was it something you grew up doing? There were a lot of people out there who were skeptical of my cooking skills. My dad was one of them!
  • You’re Asian, your husband is Dutch and you live in Thailand. How do these different cultures influence your cooking. Do you have a favourite cuisine and do you do fusion? Shhhh..don’t tell anyone this, but overall, I think Dutch cuisine is bo…
  • What/who has been your greatest influence in the kitchen? It’s closer to home!
  • If you could ask one specific chef for a piece of advice, who would it be and what’s the question? Had to thinker a bit about this one…
  • You have a very busy life – a hectic, demanding job, two young kids, a husband and a home to run. How do you balance all of this? Are there any secrets to it, and how to you stay motivated to blog with so much going on around you? Do you have advice for fellow bloggers?  No secrets; just the Superwoman cape I bought from Tesco!
  • No matter how busy my week, the three blogs I regularly check are… because… *drumroll* (This was easy and I didn’t really have to think all that hard!)
  • What are your three favourite cooking ingredients, and what are your three favourite cooking utensils? I kinda feel bad I had to choose one ingredients and one utensils over the rest!
  • Since you started your blog, what’s the most rewarding thing about it, and what’s the biggest challenge?  Plenty to be grateful about despite a small following. I’ve been pretty blessed!
  • If you could cook a meal for three people, famous or not, dead or alive, who would they be and what would you cook? Why cook for 3 when you can cook for everyone who is willing to be my guinea pig try my dishes? 🙂

Read all of my responses here, and I hope you enjoy the read. Do mosey around her blog for recipe and word crush inspirations. If those words can’t lift you up, I’m sure the mere sight of the food Gen dishes out would bring a smile to your face and a rumble in your tummy!
