Sunday Humour: Happy Hour

No naps can make me grumpy. VERY grumpy. But the kids seem to disagree with naps. Spud stopped napping even before she turned 1. These days, Squirt has already starting to drop his afternoon nap. He spoils us that way.

The thought of no more afternoon naps makes me quite depressed. What’s with kids and no naps! Gaaaahhh!

Here’s hoping that you get your happy hour in whatever form they may be.

  1. I’m with the kids – naps make me grumpy, haha. I can’t nap, I get up worse than I was before napping. Hoping you can squeeze in some you-time! Hugs

    • My MIL said the same things!! She doesn’t like naps and it makes her feel bleaaah when she wakes up. And I’m wondering WHYYY..how could anyone say no to naps!!! I guess my daughter has her genes. You’d make a very good company for my kids, Jas! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. My little one still naps and the 6 year old just understood a concept of letting mommy nap, while she plays, but I still get a chance to actually fall asleep 3 times out of 10 ๐Ÿ™‚ Naps are vital for mommy’s well being. Period.

    • Oh yes!!! I agree whole-heartedly, Yulliya! No question about it. Wait till they are in their twenties, and all they want to do is nap! ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. I don’t often take naps, but when I do, they’re epic. They’re loaded with lucid dreams, comatose conditions and honestly, a bit of slobber. When a dad sleeps, nothing his children can do can rouse him.

    Nothing.

    • Naps are important, I must agree. VERY important!I suppose that why you don’t often take one. ;D

  4. I love naps too! Now we have times where Avery is just not interested in napping and it scares me a little lol.

    • LOL! It sucks when they think they don’t need naps, and you are about falling off your chair while nodding away! Naps are THE best! ๐Ÿ˜€

  5. My brother has a philosophy about naps. We do not need naps until we have children. Once we have children, we are unable to nap when they do. When they no longer need or are willing to take naps, then we can’t keep our eyes open. SPOIL ALERT: The same thing happens when the grandchildren come along.

    • LOL. You are absolutely right, Barb. Mother nature is cruel is that way….hahahhaa! I’d like to hibernate like a bear sometimes. ๐Ÿ˜€
