“Your hard-drive crashed because it can no longer handle the bullshit!”
The above was quoted by Silver Bullet in relation to the dynamics of the industry I work in when my hard drive crashed recently in his attempt to offer me some comfort to my misery.
That got a hearty laugh from me. I would never have thought of THAT. I have to say that his remark was superbly priceless! You gotta admit that was very cleverly put and worth a post on its own.
Ahhh…my husband the geek. His honesty can be so brutal.

It has been raining for the whole day today; not the usual quick half an hour of torrential rain like we get most (if not all) of the time here, but constant drizzles.
It is the kind of weather which makes me want to stay at home in my pajamas and cuddle up in bed, and not worry about having to be at some place or dressing up to go somewhere, or worst, drag my sorry ass to work (something which I have to do today…so, bleahhh!).
It’s cool, it’s nice and I love the smell of the rain. And yes, I do think I’m happy when it rains. (as long as I am indoors in a TROPICAL country, that is).
There’s just something about the rain…and I love it!

This was the stash of baby food my parents hauled from Singapore when they came by for a visit a couple of weeks ago. Stuff which I have not seen anywhere in Bangkok, and stuff which Spud, so far, loves very much.
While she loves those baby foods, she was, quite unfortunately apprehensive about her grandparents. While she was quite friendly and takes to them okay, she was not too keen to interact with them if neither of us or the Nanny was there with her at any point in time. And given such circumstances, it was also quite hard to take any pictures of her with her Nya-yi and Yai-yi!
In fact, Spud was clingy towards us almost the entire time they were there; especially so with Silver Bullet — something which she has not done before.
But as luck has it, Spud warmed up a little eventually. And that was on the 6th day of their visit; the very day when my parents were due to leave…
The thought of being able to leave Spud with her grandparents for a day when we go back to Singapore for a visit over Hari Raya seems very bleak indeed.
