Spud’s interruptions while adults are having conversations are easing ever so slightly these days…ever.so.slightly. And, constant reminders of telling her to wait until Mama and Papa have both finished their conversation are somewhat getting adhered to more often than before.
It doesn’t happen all that often, but when it sometimes does, it feels like we have been doing a pretty decent job in getting her to comply by our rules.
Whilst in the car the other, the following conversation took place just when both me and Silver Bullet had a short pause in between our conversation:
Spud: Mama, can I talk now?
Me: Hold on, Spud. I’m still talking.
Spud: Ok.
Another conversation pause later:
Spud: Can I talk now, Mama?
Me: Ok..now you can talk .What is it that you needed to tell me?
Spud: Oh, nothing. Just because. Just because, Mama.
You have NOOOO idea how much I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. If I could stick my head into the engine, I probably would have done it.
