Monthly Mystery Munchies #18 with Gen
Think Addams Family, ghoulish, gooey, freaky. Add a bloody good tomato in the form of soup, vibe it up and you’ll be all good to go for Halloween this year!
With Gen’s challenge of styling it up for a Halloween theme this month, it is looking like our wonderful and cheeky South African chef over at Eat, Play, Clove has had some fun decorating her bloody good soup. She claims she sucks at decorating and I can’t blame her for thinking that because, really, decorating stuff to make it look freaky is actually quite hard!
Still, I happen to think that Ms Tomato-Ghoulsh here looks really cute with her parsley hair and mozzarella-olive eyeballs. That’s a straight A for effort and a distinction for making me smile!

My dear friend Gen has purported that:
this recipe is totally amazeballs when served under normal, non-Halloween circumstances. Simply blitz all ingredients, slice the prosciutto and mozzarella, chop up the parsley, add some halved olives and a few dollops of sour cream, and you’re good to go! But if you want to vibe it up…
She’s got the “normal version” too so make sure you pop over for her Bloody Good Tomato Soup recipe for a great soupy delight, ghoulish or not. Don’t forget to leave her some foodie love while at it and if you missed my post yesterday, pop over to my kid-friendly, Dutch fusion Casper’s Pannakoek Recipe with a touch of ghoul.
Happy recipe hunting for Halloween, folks! See you again next month with more mystery munchies to share!
