Fabulous Friday Flavour: Ayam Goreng Balado (Padang Chilli Fried Chicken)
Category: Fabulous Friday Flavours
Inspired by an Indonesian recipe tucked away in one of my recipe books, I decided to put a spin on the traditional Ayam Belado recipe by frying the chicken first using some herbs and spices, then adding in some dijon mustard to the sauce.
It’s crispy, it’s fiery, it’s sourish and bursting with flavour. If you love spicy dishes and one that is incendiary, this dish is for you. If not, just go easy on the chillies!

It doesn’t look crispy but it sure looks fiery. And tasty.
Hmm…the sauce over it does make it a little less crispy, Pamela. ๐ Tasty and fiery definitely. I hope you get the chance to try it. ๐ Thanks for commenting. ๐
