Fresh air. Nature and low lands. Deafening silence. Really good bread. Cold air.

And I’m looking forward to all that at this time of the year where a little family trip beckons for our annual pilgrimage back to the Netherlands. A little quite time, a time to reconnect, a time to reflect and providing the much-needed opportunity to re-focus and re-calibrate…away from the noise,  pollution and mayhem in Bangkok that muddle the mind and soul for a little while.

There are so many things I wanted to do  in the last few weeks – one being: trying to respond to a few award nominations which by now, had dated several months back and scheduling up some posts. But work and other commitments have kept me too busy and I could hardly keep up with myself.

Taking up #Writing 101 course was an ambitious attempt. I didn’t get to do all assignments and I think with this vacation, I’ll probably be falling quite far behind.

There’s something brewing with my Fabulous Friday Flavour feature  come 1st May, though! It is something I have been excited about post our #Blogging 201 as Gen and I buddy-up to come up with a recipe based on a theme one of us has chosen for the month.

We will then post up the recipe each of us attempted on our respective blogs – without knowing what the other person comes up with based on the agreed theme! Gen has the honour to kick off with a theme of her choice and I’ve got something in my head – although it is something I have not attempted before! Watch out for it. (No turning back now, Gen!) 😀

I’m not too thrilled with the lack of internet connection for at least a week when we get to Holland, because we’ll be out in the woods; which means I’ll be having some withdrawals from blogging! But I guess a little break and some digital detox could do me some good. (Seriously trying to convince myself here!)
