Pasta with soup

A recipe with an adult’s taste, and one which is suitable for  little people, too.

Ingredients
  1. 2 red onions
  2. 1 garlic
  3. Half inch ginger
  4. 1 tbsp cumin seeds – soaked in hot water then drained
  5. 1 tbsp coriander powder
  6. Half a tspn tumeric powder
  7. 1 non-msg stock cube (beef or chicken)
  8. 1 potato, peeled and cubed
  9. 1 carrot, peeled and cube
  10. A bag of macaroni or pasta
  11. 1 piece of chicken breast
  12. Spring onions (chopped)
  13. Water
  14. Salt to taste
Instructions
  1. Blend onions, garlic, ginger, cumin seeds and coriander powder. Set aside
  2. Heat up a pot with 2 tbsp of olive oil
  3. Fry up blended ingredients. As the aroma rises, add in the turmeric powder and stock cube. Fry till it turns a little bit golden brown
  4. Add in carrot and potato. Let it stand for 10 minutes
  5. Add some water. Put in the chicken and bring it to boil.
  6. Put on simmer for half hour, make sure the vegetables are cooked. Add in spring onions
  7. Separately, boil macaroni or pasta till al dente. Set aside
  8. When the soup is ready, pour some of the soup to a bowl of macaroni and serve
  9. Or if you are making a batch to freeze for the kids, add in the macaroni into the soup. Mix well for one or two minutes. Then pour the portions into small containers, cool and freeze
