Our 3-week vacation, that is –  probably the longest alone-family time we have had away from Bangkok in a very long while.

It also marked one of the longest blogging hiatus I have had thus far. It felt rather liberating to be away and disconnect myself from the distractions of the digital world as much as I allowed myself to be. Despite the unpredictable weather, being away from Bangkok made me realise once again how much I miss the fresh air, the orderly traffic as well as the deafening silence all around once dusk sets in…all the things which Bangkok isn’t.

The kids seem to be having a ball of  a time and while each of them have had their own moments of crabbiness, I have enjoyed spending time with them.

We are all still a little jet-lagged after a long flight back to Bangkok…so please pardon my tardiness as I attempt to will every single ounce of strength I have, to write an update from our trip in Holland earlier this month.
