Bound for Miami, Florida
After more than 30 hours since I left my home in Bangkok I finally got to my destination in Miami, Florida on a Monday afternoon at 4.30pm.The queue at the Immigration took almost an hour and I wasn’t exactly thrilled having to wait in line for so long after a very long flight. It might be the US of A, but I do find that the entire process was rather slow and inefficient. I saw a couple being ticked off and told to re-queue when they decided to leave their line to move a different line. Poor thing.
Incidentally, this is now my 3rd time in Miami – the first being a vacation trip en route London to get to Bahamas almost a decade ago and the second, to attend an Award’s Ceremony with the same company I was with – also almost a decade ago.
Leaving Zurich as the plane taxied into the runway, I did wonder how is it that I ended up going to Miami for the 3rd time in my life. Funnily enough, even after such a long hiatus since I last visited Miami, I didn’t feel like it was another foreign country. It felt surreal to be back here, but I feel right at home.
As we flew into the horizon, I have been awed by the sights I saw from the plane and , I hope I have time to explore the area after the conference ends in the next few days!
