The best things in life are better served as a surprised when you least expect it.

This may have come 2 days earlier given my impending work trip that was happening on my birthday but my team made it a point to remember an old lady’s birthday and surprised me with slices of cakes, candles and the heartiest birthday song sung to me as I blew off the candles. Took me completely by surprise as I was typing away relentless on the keyboard as they approached my little corner.

Such is the sweetness of thoughts and affection; little things  to cherish and done by others when you least expect it  to turn your otherwise-shit-day into something fantabulous. Life is sweet, indeed.
