Blog Pitch Party 2: Pitch Your Blog And Attract New Followers

It’s not very normal for me to publish a few posts in a day, but I thought that I’d interrupt my recent Budapest adventure and share a blog pitch party event from a re-blog from Tiny Expats. I thought it’s pretty cool and I already discovered several cool blogs out there, which I would otherwise not know of. Can’t wait to share some of the new links I like. Spread the love!

Since Spring Training has started, I’ve certainly got pitching on my mind, Modern Philosophers.

However, not all pitching is limited to the type that takes place on a baseball field.

I’ve been thinking about the wildly successful Blog Pitch Party I threw back in July, and I thought it was time to host another.

As you know, I’m also a screenwriter.  When I was lived in California, I’d get invited by producers to a pitch meeting.  Basically, they’d ask about my scripts, and then based on a few sentences from me, they’d decide if they were interested in reading any of them.

keep wrtingI thought that same progress would work perfectly with blogs.  Why not bring a little Hollywood to the blogging world, Modern Philosophers?

In the comment section, pitch your blog.  Give us the name, a link, and up to three sentences describing your blog.

If you choose to participate, I ask that you visit at least two of the other blogs that get pitched.  You don’t have to follow them, but just give them a shot.

Remember, you’ve only got three sentences, so choose your words wisely.  The trick is to hook them immediately, and make them want to go directly to your blog.
When you visit a blog, let them know that you’re part of the Blog Pitch Party, and tell them what you think of their blog.  Hopefully, they will then return the favor and check out your blog.

This is all about meeting other bloggers and discovering great new blogs, while also spreading the word about your own.  Be nice, have fun, and share the Blog Love!

Hi! Found you through the blog pitch party… great posts! Love all of the travel pics. We have Thailand on our travel bucket list and will hopefully see that happen someday. Keep up the great work.

    • Hello Pam! Nice meeting you. The blog pitch party was great! Thanks for dropping by and your kind words. Thailand’s great – ask away if you have any further thoughts of making your way here (although my perspective might be a little biased! :p) Hope to see you around often. D:
